New AimBig Employment Office in Inala Offers Hope to Job Seekers
Leading disability employment provider AimBig Employment has opened a new office in Inala to serve local jobseekers with disability, both physical and mental. General Manager Terry Wilson says the organisation is looking forward to serving the local community.

“At AimBig Employment, the core of our service is to improve the lives of the people around us, whether this is helping people with disability overcome barriers to employment, liaising with employers to recruit them talented individuals with a managed disability, or simply someone leaving our office with a smile. Mr Wilson says there is a great need for disability employment support in Australia.
“Over 4.4 million people in Australia have some form of disability. That’s 1 in 5 people. Yet, unfortunately, the odds are unfairly stacked against people with disability. Almost half of people with a disability are unemployed and have starkly lower labour force participation. But employers can get so much from this group if they are willing to give them a chance,” says Mr Wilson.
“The business case for hiring people with disability is very strong. People with disability generally take fewer days off, take less sick leave and stay in jobs longer than other workers. They also ensure that your team best reflects the community in which it operates. They are an untapped resource and can be hugely beneficial,” continued Mr Wilson.
“However, sometimes jobseekers and businesses just need that little bit of extra support. That’s where AimBig comes in. We offer a cost-free recruitment service and are a trusted provider of the Governments Disability Employment Service program. It’s a win-win for all involved.”
