Will is a great fit for UNIQLO
Will made the decision to voluntarily transfer to AimBig Employment Gosford after feeling that mainstream services were not providing him with the care and understanding he needed for his personal situation. Since joining AimBig a year and eight months ago, he has been working diligently on improving his personal and mental health, as well as gaining work placement experience.
With the help of his Job Coach Perri, Will has set some ambitious personal goals and regularly ticks them off his fridge checklist. His end goal is to buy a house, and Perri is providing support by helping him develop a budget and cashflow system to achieve this.
AimBig has been instrumental in assisting Will to become job ready by helping him update his resume, apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews. To aid in this process, they provided interview shoes for him, which helped to boost his confidence and mentally prepare him for interview questions.
Recently, Will was offered a casual retail sales role with UNIQLO, located in a shopping centre near his home. Although the store is still being built, Will has signed his contract and is eager to begin his new adventure. UNIQLO was impressed with Will’s attitude and confidence during the interviews and group tasks, and is understanding of his requirements, offering him flexible hours within his casual role. Furthermore, UNIQLO has stated that if Will works his way up to store manager, he will have the opportunity to attend an annual managers conference in Japan.
