What does a day in the life of a Job Coach look like?

One thing you can be sure of when you’re a Job Coach – every day is different. You’ll work with people across all stages of the employment placement journey.

Each day you’ll be part of a highly motivated team focused on achieving the best employment outcomes for participants and employers.

You’ll use your strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships and help educate employers on the benefits of employing a person with a disability.

You’ll be proactive in finding prospective employers and breaking down employment barriers. Above all, you’ll provide support to job seekers. Helping them build their skills and confidence through tailored employment pathway plans.

Your relationship with participants and employers won’t end on successful placement. You’ll maintain regular contact as participants continue to achieve their goals.

 

What qualifications do you need to become a Job Coach?

A Job Coach role is accessible to anyone. You don’t need any formal qualifications. If you come from retail, aged care or a call centre role and love building relationships, a Job Coach role is a perfect career move.

Our extensive induction and onboarding program will help you hit the ground running. You’ll meet the leadership team, your team members and the AimBig Employment network across the country.

We’ll train and equip you with all the tools and knowledge you need to succeed in the role. Just bring your interpersonal skills and your love for supporting someone to find the employment opportunity that is perfect for them.
