What are the 5 most in-demand job skills in 2022?
Thinking of a new job in 2022? Now may be the time to take advantage of a booming job market.
Australia has experienced a job boom this year, with more jobs advertised on SEEK than ever before. Although recording a drop in July, the job market is still strong, with job ads remaining above pre-pandemic levels.
The Australian Government’s July National Skills Commission internet vacancy report showed a decline in job ads of 3.8%. However, annual figures are still 24.5% higher than last year and 71.4% (or 120,200 job ads) higher than in 2019. The good news is that recruitment activity remains significantly higher than before the pandemic.
As spring is a time for growth and new beginnings after a long, cold winter, you may be looking for new employment opportunities. With a booming market and a national skills shortage, now is as good a time as any to explore new options.
