We asked our Job Coaches what future-ready means to them…
Our AimBig Academy offers a world-class learning experience to upskill both new and existing team members into future-ready Job Coaches.
So we asked our experienced Job Coaches; what does ‘future-ready’ mean to them?
“Future Ready means to me that I have enough knowledge in my position to be able to complete my role confidently, efficiently and effectively. This will be proven by supporting my participants on an individual basis and support their journey keeping in mind their barriers and how this affects their ability to look and maintain employment. I would like to think that being future Ready involves my ability to use my skills of adapting training strategies and styles to assist and support job coaches with in their roles.”
– Marie Shield, Dalby QLD
“Being future ready is being able to adapt and change. As the landscape of the generational, labour and the job seeker market change, we need to be in line and ready to change with it.
Change is a critical element of becoming future ready. We must expect it, trust it and learn it. This means that there will refining, learning, and developing in roles and experience, old habits may need to die to make room to be future ready.
Being future ready being able to be agile to adapt, change and manage a diverse and ever-changing environment through learning to trust and believe in the direction of the company or business you work for and with. Why? This is needed to scale up and be in front of our competition to facilitate being the best at what we do for the stakeholders we serve.
We don’t know the future; we can only predict the future. To be bigger than employment we need to be ahead in Employment Services. This means future planning and being ready to be bigger.”
– Dillan Stokes, Nerang QLD
“From my experience, Aimbig has a real focus on emotional connection; for its employees to have a strong sense of purpose tied to their work and company values. We focus on stories and how the impact of what we do adds value to others and the work we do. It focuses on the “human element” and this is something that needs to be maintained at all cost.
I feel we require the skills and enduring capabilities needed to flex, stretch, and evolve to meet future challenges for the people we support in the community and the more distant organisation that supervises, creates the regulations, and allocates the resources (Services Australia/Government).
We require a focus on critical thinking and problem solving that forms the most part of our current day. Our participants require a significant amount of knowledge sharing as individually we may not have the opportunity to gain the experience but collectively can apply prior learning of others to resolve issues.
Application of Artificial intelligence (AI) to take care of some of the more mundane tasks that are time consuming, compliance driven and absolutely essential but do not provide motivational benefit to the employee or participant.”
– Kim Ainscough, Cairns
