Toowoomba Careers Expo Debuts AimBig’s Virtual Reality Job Seeker Experience

Toowoomba witnessed a ground-breaking leap in the world of job seeking as AimBig Employment, joined forces with Work Window VR, a pioneer in virtual reality technology. This exciting partnership introduced the people of Toowoomba to the future of job seeking through immersive virtual reality experiences showcased at the Toowoomba Jobs, Careers & Skills Expo on Thursday October 12.

AimBig Employment offers crucial support to individuals facing various barriers to employment, and their commitment to utilising cutting-edge technology to enhance job placement outcomes is evident in this revolutionary initiative. Job seekers and the general public that attended the expo had the unique opportunity to explore diverse work environments and fine-tune their job interview skills through state-of-the-art virtual reality.

The benefits of AimBig’s Virtual Reality (VR) Technology at the expo in Toowoomba were:

  • Discover work environments that are typically off-limits for public work trials due to legal or safety constraints.
  • Save valuable time and money by exploring various workplaces and interview techniques through VR.
  • Gain clarity on career options and job requirements through immersive experiences.
  • Gain insights into how leading organisations in Toowoomba execute specific job roles.
  • Experience the thrill of immersive VR technology for the very first time!

Paul Stanton, AimBig’s Workforce Australia Program Manager, welcomed everyone to be part of this cutting-edge experience. He remarked, “We are excited to offer the people of Toowoomba a glimpse into the future of job seeking through virtual reality. AimBig is dedicated to staying at the forefront of technology to provide unparalleled support to our clients and the wider community.”

Greg Luck, CEO of AimBig, underscores the organisation’s commitment to technological leadership. “We believe in harnessing innovation to assist individuals on their employment journey. This partnership with Work Window VR exemplifies how AimBig continually evolves to meet the needs of our clients and the communities we serve.”

As part of their commitment to ensuring that our jobseekers gain the skills and confidence to remain in employment, the AimBig Toowoomba team enabled jobseekers to be able to trial this technology by providing them with transportation to and from the venue. This technology was also showcased at Mackay Jobs Fair earlier that week with AimBig employees showcasing this game-changing opportunity with local jobseekers.
