Steve’s speed to employment

Steve came to AimBig Employment Caloundra as a voluntary client seeking support for a new pathway for work. Steve had a lifetime concreting and very respected in his sector, working on large commercial projects. Unfortunately, Steve was unable to return to his expertise due to waiting for allied health intervention for knee replacements.

Steve’s Job Coach, Gary, reviewed his transferable skills and together they decided that resort maintenance work with shorter and more flexible shifts would be a great direction for Steve’s new career. Within weeks of starting the program, Gary reached out to numerous resorts in the area to find a suitable position for Steve.

After several inquiries, Gary found the Rolling Surf Resort, which sparked an interest in Steve’s skills. The resort requested a meeting with Steve and offered him a trial shift the next day. From the trial, Steve was offered casual employment at the resort.

With the support of AimBig Employment and his new colleagues at the resort, Steve is now moving forward on his thirteen-week journey with confidence and enthusiasm. Steve is excited to embrace this new opportunity and grateful for the support he received from AimBig Employment.
