Meet the A Team – Jay

In the latest of our staff series, we’ll be introducing you to some of the lovely staff that work at AimBig Employment. Within this article, we’ll introduce you to Jay, one of our Business Development Consultants based in Moonee Ponds, VIC. Everyone, meet Jay!

Why did you choose to work in Employment Services?

To help and support our participants to achieve the best outcome possible, either in employment or referral to the appropriate services.

What does a day in the life of your role look like?

Constantly on the phone, meeting employers, attending expo’s & interviews with candidates.

Can you recall a time when you helped a participant?

I had a challenging customer that had made numerous complaints and had a difficult time identifying the career path they wanted to follow. I assisted to define a path working with timber, placed him with a photo framing company and he’s still there. He hadn’t worked for over 10 years previously.

What do you love about your role?

That it’s constantly changing and challenging and that we’re all here to help change people’s lives.

What is a fun fact about yourself that people may not know?

I’ve eaten guinea pig in Peru.
