Meet the a team – Elise

In our latest of our staff series, we’ll be introducing you to some of our superb staff at AimBig Employment. In this article, we’ll introduce you to Elise, one of our fantastic Area Managers based in Brisbane North. Elise has been with AimBig Employment for almost half a year but has already made an outstanding impact by supporting clients and her team to achieve positive outcomes.

Why did you choose to work in employment services?

After completion of my community services qualifications in 2014 I decided to embark on the career journey of changing the lives of people in our community to enhance their lives, to give them independence and support to achieve their goals.

What does a day in the life of your role look like?

No one day is the same and that’s what makes the job so much fun and rewarding. A day typically consists of a morning buzz meeting discussing our common goals for the day and what we would like to achieve in regards to our contract, business performance and common objectives. It involves empowering my team to do what they do best and that is to support participants within our beautiful community.

You’ve worked with AimBig Employment for only a short time but I bet you’ve got a great story for a time you’ve helped a client or employer!

We have wonderful employer next door that is a mortgage broker/ well known businessman in the Moreton Bay community, and I have been liaising with him weekly around finding suitable candidates for his business as well as for his clients that require staff. I have built a great relationship with the owner with collaboration and clear communication.

What’s something people may not know about you?

I play piano!
