Through Carly’s unwavering support and the aid of a wage subsidy for brokered employment, Kerry found herself able to pursue paid placement hours for her course. This incredible opportunity allowed her to dive headfirst into the aged care industry, commencing paid employment immediately after completing her course.
Today, Kerry stands tall, proudly working in aged care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. With an average of 30+ hours of dedicated service each week, she visits her clients’ homes to lend a helping hand with their day-to-day activities and hygiene practices. Her compassionate and caring nature has earned her recognition and respect from both clients and colleagues.
In a remarkable testament to her hard work and dedication, Kerry recently reached a significant milestone—26 weeks of consistent and exceptional service in aged care. This accomplishment did not go unnoticed, as she was honoured with a well-deserved nomination as Caregiver of the Quarter. Her new employer couldn’t be prouder, commending Kerry for her fantastic contributions that have left a lasting impact on the people she serves.
