JobClub & Arriba Town
Searching for employment can be a highly stressful and isolating experience, especially in a fiercely competitive job market. It’s all too easy to feel alone in your job hunt and lose motivation after being turned down time and time again. However, that is where JobClub comes in.
JobClub is a fantastic program offered by AimBig Employment, specifically designed to provide support, guidance, and resources for job seekers to help them navigate the job market and find suitable employment. This program is incredibly inclusive and supportive, providing a safe environment where job seekers can connect with others who are going through similar experiences and access a wide range of resources that can assist them in their job search.
Among these resources are a variety of workshops and training sessions, focused on crucial topics such as resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies. These workshops are intended to help job seekers build their skills and confidence, giving them a better chance of securing a job.
Our most recent addition to JobClub is the fun and interactive group-based game, Arriba Town. In this online game, players can choose their Arriba Town character and embark on a journey with their fellow villagers, led by an AimBig facilitator. This cooperative role-playing game is designed to help players break out of their usual thinking patterns and explore various activities through the eyes of their chosen character.
Throughout the game, players may learn more about themselves, such as how to articulate their strengths, describe challenges they have overcome, and work collaboratively with others. It’s a turn-based game where everyone works together to create the story, with no winners or losers. The facilitator provides individual support while playing the game, and most importantly, draws attention to the lessons that can be learned from the experience.
Playing Arriba Town provides an opportunity for players to explore their strengths and potential through the life of a fictional character. By the end of the game, each player will have told a story about their character, the project they worked on, and what they learned along the way.
