Jesse’s fresh start with Randstad

Jesse has severe health anxiety and OCD, which made it difficult for him to be around people for long periods of time and work in typical workplaces such as an office or retail. For many years, he believed he would be unable to work due to his disability, and the job search process was a difficult and gruelling experience filled with rejection.

However, with the support of his Job Coach, Moona, from AimBig Employment Epping, Jesse has been able to return to the workforce and overcome his barriers. Moona has been a constant ally, providing support and reassurance throughout Jesse’s journey.

With Moona’s help, Jesse has been working with the Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning (DELWP) for five months and has received two promotions during that time. He feels useful and empowered and is grateful for the role AimBig Employment plays in helping people like him.

Currently, Jesse is working from home, 15-30 hours a week, as a part of the customer contact centre for DELWP. He takes calls for any enquiries related to his section of government, which can range from dealing with wild bees to helping someone acquire a gun license. He enjoys the variety of his job and has received positive feedback from his superiors.

Jesse’s employer Randstad has spoken highly of him and has received great feedback for the way he is managing his role. Randstad is also understanding and supportive, making sure that Jesse is okay on his bad days and giving him the time he needs to manage his health barriers and get in the right mindset for work.

Jesse cannot express enough gratitude for AimBig Employment’s assistance in putting his mind at ease and providing him with the training and opportunity to prove he can be a valuable part of the workforce. He is truly thankful for AimBig Employment, giving him the chance to join the workforce again.
