Eileen’s Path to Success with AimBig Employment

After taking time off to raise her family, Eileen faced financial struggles and a lack of confidence in returning to the workforce. Six months ago, she joined AimBig Employment and actively participated in our programs. Through the ‘Money Minded’ program, Eileen gained valuable tools and strategies for managing her finances. To boost her confidence, she also completed the ‘Dress for Success’ program, preparing her for job interviews and her return to work. 

With the support of AimBig, Eileen successfully applied for her BlueCard and police check. She initially secured casual work as a support worker, which helped rebuild her confidence. However, her ultimate dream was to return to her previous role as a Police Liaison Officer (PLO), a position she held in 2013. 

Encouraged by her dedicated job coach, Tania, Eileen took the leap and applied for the PLO position in Mackay. We are thrilled to share that she was successful in her application and has commenced work this month. Eileen is now enjoying her role, serving the community, and breaking down barriers. 

The special rapport and connection between Tania and Eileen have been instrumental in this journey. We are proud to celebrate Eileen’s achievement as she visited our office in her full uniform—a proud moment for her job coach and all of us at AimBig Employment.
