A busy month of events for AimBig

After a huge May which saw AimBig represented at 20 days of events across the nation, June provided no let up for our busy AimBig team. Our fantastic teams comprised of Team Leaders, Business Development Specialists and Job Coaches, attended events across Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales.

Between the 16th and 24th June AimBig spent 7 days at events, connecting and strengthening relationships with businesses, participants, and the wider community. The event frenzy started off on the 16th at the Gold Coast Business & Jobs Expo in Coomera, Team Leader Melissa Fee spent the day interacting with local businesses and enabling our participants to find the job of their dreams.

A short trip down the road saw Melissa and the team exhibiting at the Gold Coast Disability Expo (17th -18th June) for the next couple of days. The three consecutive days of hard work on the Gold Coast by the AimBig team has resulted in multiple referrals and interviews as AimBig continues to place individuals in meaningful and sustainable employment.

Business Development Specialist Simon Farrugia and the Melbourne AimBig team attended job fairs in Central (17th June) and West Melbourne (21th June), showcasing our tailored services to job seekers and developing relationships with local businesses and improving our job network for people with disability.

In Sydney, AimBig joined their sister company, Rehab Management, at the Workplace Wellness Festival to focus on the health, wellbeing and safety of employees. They collaborated with attendees and exhibitors to network with employers to discuss how they can partner with AimBig Employment. . The team engaged in many conversations with businesses on employee engagement and the benefits on an inclusive and diverse working environment. As the Workplace Wellness Festival entered its second day, AimBig’s leaders came together to reflect on the achievements of the last year and look ahead to the challenges and opportunities in the next financial year at the Arriba Group’s Annual Leadership Forum and Awards. The Awards evening recognised outstanding performers across the Arriba Group. Congratulations to this year’s winners from AimBig: Job Coaches of the Year – Jo-Anne Nepia & Lesley Rasmussen, Manager of the Year – Scott Hammermeister, and Company Value award winners – Georgia Arnold (Quality Orientated) and Kellie Hutt (Customer-Focused).

AimBig rounded off the last week of June at events in Cessnock and Sydney, NSW. Jason Giordimaina represented AimBig at the Kirawa K-12 Aboriginal Education Corroboree Community Engagement event for NAIDOC week, strengthening our community ties and relationships with the school and AES Service.

In Sydney, AimBig was joined by our other sister company, LiveBig, at the Sydney Disability Connection Expo. Hundreds of service providers joined thousands of participants and support coordinators under one roof at the ICC, Alyce Huynh and the AimBig team spent two days engaging with attendees and creating connections with participants, clinicians, and businesses to enable us to better support people with disability to find meaningful employment.
