Kiren – Area Manager

Area Managers are driven and motivated individuals that are passionate about mentoring and team development. With team leaders and job coaches reporting into them, our Area Managers are people passionate and focused on driving positive outcomes. Our Northern Sydney Area Manager Kiren goes above and beyond for her team, while also excelling in areas such as business development and community relationship building.

How did you become an area manager?

I joined AimBig employment as a Team Leader and within a year, I was recognised for my efforts and contribution, and promoted to Area Manager Role. The career progression has been great here!

What are your day-to-day duties as an Area Manager?

As an Area Manager, I am involved in overseeing operations and service delivery of Disability employment services contract in 2 regions including 8 offices. Managing a team of 5 staff, I assist my staff with vulnerable participants with disabilities into finding suitable and meaningful employment. Part of this is identifying skill gaps and looking at suitable courses for them to undertake and up-skill. I put a lot of time into mentoring and counselling staff, as well as supporting participants that walk through the AimBig doors.

What do you love about being an Area Manager?

Being able to assist our vulnerable participants, into finding suitable employment. Another perk is managing a wonderful team of Job Coaches who are equally passionate about making a difference in the community and people’s lives. Delivering performance with a purpose!
