Celebrating International Day of People with Disability

Supporting people with disability is at the core of our services, and we are excited to celebrate 2021 International Day of People with Disability on December 3rd.

What is International Day of People with Disability?

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day aimed at increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

This year’s theme is..

‘Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world’

Why is IDPwD important?

It is an opportunity for our community to make positive changes to the lives of 4.4 million Australians with disability. You can also start or join a conversation in your community to challenge stereotypes, break down barriers and encourage inclusive attitudes and behaviours.

We all have a role to play in ensuring people with disability have the opportunity to reach their full potential and participate in all aspects of community life. Let’s all take action this December, and all year round, to make our community more inclusive.

Join us in celebrating International Day of People with Disability!

AimBig Employment will be participating in the Sydney Disability Expo on the 3rd and 4th of December at Sydney Showground. Visit us at stand 42 to meet our friendly team, learn more about our services and pick up some AimBig goodies.
